Why choose Veneers?

Like stars in the West Texas sky, your smile should shine bright for all to see. Many people are not happy with their smile, but few know there are many options to change it. Porcelain veneers are one of the ways the dentists at Tippit Dental Group can enhance your smile.

Pearly Whites for Texas Nights (and Days)

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain that bond to the front of the tooth and can conceal imperfections in the look and feel of your teeth and smile. Discoloration, chips and cracks, and crooked teeth are just some of the reasons porcelain veneers may be recommended. Although the teeth will still be prepared for the restoration, veneers are able to maintain more of your natural tooth structure, giving you a beautifully restored smile all while saving as much of the tooth as possible.

Ask your dentist about veneers and start up a conversation. There are many ways to improve your smile, and we want you to be fully aware of the options and which one is right for you.

Everyone is incredibly friendly. They are always on time. They seem to be genuinely concerned about their patients. I would never go anywhere else.

What to Expect

01

Dental veneers are a permanent commitment. Your dentist will begin by administering local anesthesia, before skillfully removing some of the enamel of the tooth. Once complete, an impression will be taken of the new shape of the teeth and sent to a lab. You will leave the office with temporary veneers in place.

02

Each veneer is custom made to match the shape and color of each individual tooth. At your second appointment, your dentist will start with local anesthesia again. The veneers are tried on and checked for fit, function, and color.

03

If everything is up to our standards, and you like the look, color, and feel, then your dentist will begin the process of bonding the veneers onto the teeth. Once finished, you will leave the office with a new smile!

I've been a patient at Tippit Dental Group for close to 30 years. My dentists and hygienists have changed over time, but I have always felt I received top-rated care with a personal touch! My current hygienist, Jennifer, is a joy. She cleans my teeth well, without causing much pain! Her only bad habit is asking a question about my family while she has my mouth wide open and I cannot answer... :-)

From one small business owner to another, Tippit does a fantastic job at serving their clients. They are friendly, efficient, and make the experience enjoyable (as much as a visit to the dentist can be), and I am confident in their knowledge and expertise. Would recommend!

Great experience. Everyone is so nice and professional. Everything was explained to me as well as a plan for my care. Definitely recommend. Plus they got me in the same day I inquired into starting services.

FAQs

How do I care for my veneers?

Like all dental restorations, porcelain veneers require special attention. They must be treated with care. Maintain your proper oral hygiene routine to help prevent cavities around or underneath the veneers. Gum health is also very important to the esthetics of your smile so keep that regular appointment with your favorite hygienist!

Avoid using your teeth as tools. Your teeth are not good to help open packages, tear tape, or cut fishing line, and your veneers are even worse! If a nightguard is recommended, wear it diligently each and every night. The better you take care of your veneers, the longer they will last.
