Dr. Tip Tippit
Dr. Nathaniel G. "Tip" Tippit founded the Tippit Dental Group in 1977 with one goal in mind: to build a unique corporate culture delivering "Excellence in Dentistry" to patients by focusing on consumer-oriented and distinctive service. Over 35 years later, his vision still stands true today.
Dr. Tippit graduated from Trinity University and shortly thereafter earned his dental degree from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1975. After opening his practice, he has since mentored over 28 dentists serving as associates, including some of the top practitioners in our city. He was appointed to the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners by then Governor George W. Bush in 1999, elected President of the TSBDE four years later, and was then appointed presiding officer by Governor Rick Perry in 2003.
Throughout his career, Dr. Tippit has enjoyed helping his patients restore and maintain their healthy smiles. Most of all, he has cherished the long lasting relationships he has formed... "My patients are so diverse and interesting, and they have undoubtedly enriched my life by sharing their unique life experiences with me and my staff over the years". Dr. Tippit's patients come to see him not only because he stands by his work, but also because they are confident he will always do what is in their best interest.
Dr. Tippit is a pilot, an avid hunter and fisherman, and loves to read and travel. He enjoys spending time on his ranch in Bellville, Texas and has recently opened a dental practice just down the road. He has three children, Trey, Abby and Holly, and has been married to his wife, Lesli, since 1977. His grandchildren, Ella and Luke, keep him busy and love riding on the tractor at the ranch with their "Grand Dude".
Dr. John Epperson
John W. Epperson was born and raised in Pampa, Texas. After graduating from Pampa High School, he attended Lubbock Christian University on a basketball scholarship, and majored in biology as a pre-dental student.
Dr. Epperson graduated from The University of Texas Dental Branch in the Houston Medical Center in 1976. He was inducted into the Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society, and was commissioned as a Captain in the United States Air Force Dental Corp. He was stationed in San Antonio, TX, and Clovis, N.M.
After serving in the Air Force for two years, Dr. Epperson started a family dental practice in Lubbock, TX. Dr. Epperson has two grown children in the dental field. His son, Travis, has taken over the large dental practice in Lubbock. His daughter, Cassie, is a hygienist and is married to a dentist, T.J. Randers. He has four awesome grandchildren.
John enjoys a healthy life style. He is a triathlete and has competed in sixteen triathlons over the past three years. His top accomplishment is completing the Ironman Texas Championship Triathlon in the Woodlands, TX in 2015.
Dr. Epperson relocated to the Houston area in 2015. He is enjoying living in Brenham, and working in the Tippit Dental Group Office in Bellville. He appreciates Dr. Tippit, the excellent employees in the office, and the wonderful patients coming to the practice.
